The "Search" button on the top left corner toggles the search bar.
There are two modes of search on the AmigoCollect mobile application.
- Search Address
- Filter User Data.
Switch between these two modes is done with the button on the right hand side of the search bar
In the Search Address mode, user can type an address that is present in the visible map area. The top results will be displayed. After hitting the "Return" button the pin will be placed on the map.
In Filter User Data mode, user can type a text that will be matched with the any of the text-based fields of the active/visible datasets. All the text fields/barcode field/amigo_id of all the visible datasets will be involved in the filter. Only the records that match the filter will remain visible on the map. For example user can type "park", which will result in filtering the records that have text "park" in any of its text fields.
Filter User Data mode also supports barcode reader. When barcode is scanned, it will be used as a filter text. This is useful when a user wants to locate a record that has a particular barcode value. By scanning the barcode, only the related record will remain visible on the map.
